Lubricant Regeneration Through EPR Diagnostics and Nanocomposite Treatments
We are proud to announce that Antara Groupe will be presenting at the Reliable Plant Conference & Exhibition 2026 — one of the world’s leading events dedicated to industrial reliability and maintenance.
Marie Roucan, Research & Testing Lab Manager at THEMIS, Antara Groupe’s laboratory subsidiary, will take the stage alongside Ken Madsen from Antara Groupe to deliver a session titled “Next-Generation Lubricant Recovery Using EPR Diagnostics and Smart Nanocomposite Treatments. »
Rethinking how we diagnose and regenerate industrial lubricants
Industrial lubricants degrade through complex oxidation pathways — free-radical formation, metal-catalyzed reactions, and accumulation of insoluble residues. Conventional monitoring tools struggle to detect these reactive intermediates or identify which degradation mechanisms are at play. The result: lubricant life is cut short, and regeneration strategies remain largely blind.
The approach developed by THEMIS, Antara Groupe’s laboratory subsidiary, combines two complementary technologies: Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) as an advanced diagnostic tool, and adaptive nanocomposite materials as a targeted regeneration solution.
This allows you to:
- Directly detect free radicals, antioxidant depletion, and paramagnetic metal contaminants — where conventional indicators fall short
- Apply nanocomposite treatments that selectively remove acidity, water, radicals, and residues without stripping functional additives
- Validate regeneration efficiency through EPR, creating a closed-loop lubricant health management strategy
On the international stage
Being selected to present at Reliable Plant Conference reflects the depth of research and field expertise built by the THEMIS teams within Antara Groupe. It is also an opportunity to share with the global maintenance and reliability community a vision we have long carried: moving beyond standard oil analysis toward truly diagnostic-driven fluid care.
