Rethinking how we diagnose and regenerate industrial lubricants
Industrial lubricants degrade through complex oxidation pathways—free-radical formation, metal-catalyzed reactions, and the accumulation of insoluble residues. Conventional monitoring tools struggle to detect these reactive intermediates or identify which degradation mechanisms are at play. The result: lubricant life is shortened, and regeneration strategies remain largely ineffective.
The approach developed byTHEMIS, Antara Groupe’s laboratory subsidiary, combines two complementary technologies:Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR)as an advanced diagnostic tool, andadaptive nanocomposite materialsas a targeted regenerative solution.
This allows you to:
- Directly detect free radicals, antioxidant depletion, and paramagnetic metal contaminants — where conventional indicators fall short
- Apply nanocomposite treatments that selectively remove acidity, water, free radicals, and residueswithout stripping away functional additives
